The 2025 Folkestone Coastal 10K proved to be a massive success once again – and this year, The Sports Trust was proud to be chosen as the event’s official charity partner.
With a sellout of 1,000 runners, a record 320 virtual participants, and a fantastic atmosphere along the Folkestone seafront, this popular Kent charity run continues to grow in both scale and impact. We’re incredibly excited to announce that the event raised £5,000 in direct support of The Sports Trust, helping us continue our mission to improve lives through sport and physical activity in local communities.
In addition, we received £223.14 in individual donations through the race’s JustGiving platform, generously contributed by runners during the registration process. These funds go directly toward supporting inclusive sports programmes, youth outreach, school partnerships, and community-based physical activity initiatives led by The Sports Trust.
As an organisation dedicated to removing barriers to participation and promoting the power of sport to transform lives, it means the world to be supported by such a well-loved and high-profile event. The Folkestone Coastal 10K not only champions fitness and wellbeing, but also directly benefits causes that strengthen our communities.
The event, held annually on the Kent coast, saw runners of all ages and abilities take part, with entrants traveling from across the UK – including over 38 running clubs and participants from as far as Birmingham. Even two SAGA cruise ships got involved, hosting over 200 virtual runners on board!
Thanks to the incredible efforts of race organisers, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters – including headline sponsor SAGA, primary sponsor Alcaline Transport, and many more – the day ran smoothly, safely, and with enormous community spirit. We’re especially grateful to the marshals and local businesses who gave their time and energy to make the race such a success.
