Help us to level the playing field today

As a small charity with a big impact, The Sports Trust relies on the generous support of funders and donors to carry out our work in making sport and physical activity accessible to all.

You too can become an integral player and help to spread the transformative power of sport by donating to The Sports Trust. Every generous donation helps us to reach people from the most marginalised communities and elevate the power of power and physical activity.

Join us on our journey! Donate to secure the future of sporting environments for people to love sport and exercise, whatever their motivations may be.

Fundraising Ideas

There are hundreds of ways to raise money for charity, but here’s some of our favourites:

  • Football match / 5 a side – Raise funds by charging a player fee and why not let spectators donate to take part in a penalty shootout at the end of the match?
  • Fun runs – you don’t need to run a marathon (although, wouldn’t that be fun!) to raise money through running. Whether it’s 5k, 10k or 10 minutes. Raise money through sponsorship for your efforts.
  • Give it up! – If you have a bad habit you want to kick out, why not do it while fundraising for The Sports Trust? If your habit is costly, why not donate the money you save?
  • Quiz night – The pub, village hall, local sports centre and your best mate’s garden are all venues suitable for hosting a quiz. Decide what’s the best option (and available) to you and get working on those questions. You host the night and guests pay to play.
  • Raffle – A raffle is great to have at a charity fundraising event. Just charge a fee for tickets and the winner gets a prize. This could also work as a standalone fundraising activity.
  • Walk – Where and how far will you walk? The ideas are endless, you could walk 5k in fancy dress or head to lands end, whatever you do walk with purpose and become a fundraiser for The Sports Trust today.
  • Yoga marathon – Lots of fundraisers use skills they already have to successfully raise money. So if you’re an avid yogi, why not run a not-for-profit class? Your pupils will not only have invested in their own health, but also have the added satisfaction of knowing they’ve made a difference.
